Which national team can I play for?

Pick one country at a time. The tool follows articles 3-14 to 3-29 of FIBA Internal Regulations Book 3. It shows the likely path and the article behind each step. Only a national federation can file a request, so this tells you what to ask yours. It is education and not legal advice.

Things the tool cannot decide

• Only your national federation can submit the request, and it must reach FIBA at least 14 days before the competition starts (articles 3-11 and 3-12).
• FIBA may ask for original documents and does not accept handwritten passports or handwritten documents (article 3-19).
• Final status is decided by FIBA. Ask the federation, and for a contract or legal question, a lawyer.
